MERGE CUBE


During this task, we have created an activity that consist on the use of the Merge Cube in order to help students to know better the different animals.

The materials that we used were:
  • The app for seeing 3D animals: "ObjectViewer"
  • The merge cube 
  • The digital whiteboard/ two ipads with their pencil
  • One phone
  • Chronometer

This task is based on the game “hot potato”. Our students are going to get to know the animal features better by playing with the “Merge cube”. They need their phones or tablets in order to scan the cube so that they will be led to the animal 3D figure. They will have 3 minutes per round and the one that is left with the cube will be eliminated when the time finishes and he /she can’t play


STEPS

  1. Making a circle of all the students 

  2. Explain the rules of the game while they download the app and show them how it works so they can be familiar with it.

  3. Star with the game. The first one is going to be the teacher to avoid confusion. 


After they have finished the game, they will start practicing their knowledge about animals by going to the digital board and writing the correct animal part with the corresponding line.  In the digital board, a picture of the animal with the corresponding vocabulary will appear and the students will have to match the vocabulary to the harrows. Each pair of student will do a different animal.
